Best wishes to you, Christa, for a speedy recovery and a safe trip home to Alaska! I am so sorry to hear of the extensive injury you sustained in the earthquake. I found out what happened to you via a Facebook post by an old high school friend, Terri Edwards.
Please know that there are many who have never met you (like me) that admire your efforts too improve the lives of others in Haiti. I am sure that you will positively influence the lives of so many others as you begin the courageous journey to re-establish your life as an active and valuable member of the global community. The world needs more people like you. Keep the faith.
Wishing you nothing but the best life has to offer going forward,
Love and greetings from Dillingham, Christa!
What a treasure and positive example you are for others. The gift of literacy you and Julian were sharing was a priceless gift for the adults and children of Haiti. Thank you. Your positive spirit, strong body, faith and determination will comfort you during this time of great change in your life.
The students of Dillingham Elementary will follow your recovery journey and help you be a strong climber and runner again. Your love of words and books will inspire, and your willingness to help others will encourage them to learn, be strong, and look beyond themselves. Who knows where our Dillingham Elementary students may sojourn! We are proud of you, Julian, and Alan!
Our thoughts are with you and your family and friends….your strong and loving family…
Dillingham holds you in thought and prayer.
Love,
